Josi Maria, a German Instagram model who talked about how to deal with anorexia and who shared photos of her extremely thin body, died at the age of 24. According to de24 News, Maria’s mother said the girl had just flown to Gran Canaria on holiday, but died of heart failure shortly after the flight.
Her parents posted the news on Instagram and mentioned that the death happened earlier this month. According to her mother, Maria died in the arms of her friend, fell asleep and never woke up.
The friend wrote in a comment on Maria’s latest post: “The day before I held you dear Josi in my arms, we went shopping and you were looking forward to Christmas and the holidays. The next night you slept. placidly in your friend’s arms in Gran Canaria. Your little heart just stopped beating. “
De24 News reported that Maria developed circulatory problems on the flight to Gran Canaria and said she was in poor health, due to her battle with anorexia. Mary had been open about her struggle with the eating disorder and frequently talked about it in the last years of her life.

Maria, who was originally from Kiel in northern Germany, had published frequently about her fight against anorexia in recent years and warned others about the disorder.
On Nov. 11, she posted about an interview she had and wrote, “I don’t want to be one of 10 people who die of anorexia.” She added: “I hope that with the video, a lot of people will finally learn and realize that anorexia is not a matter of weight, but of the head! That it’s not always just about wanting to be thin, but there is much more behind it “.
The young woman said she had been struggling with the eating disorder since she was a child, but that it had become especially serious in the last two years. She wrote, “This is not the way to go. I will not go on like this. Find the way to my positivity again. The will is there.”
On August 5, he said he would stop writing posts about anorexia to focus on his health. She said, “I need to be distracted to be healthy. I really need to think about my health right now. Her parents also commented. “I miss you so much my angel. You are such a valuable person. You gave us a lot of positive energy and made us laugh … I love you so much and I will always take you to my heart,” the model’s mother said.
