Mark Hamill of course he keeps secrets (unlike his Star Wars Universe pal Pedro Pascal), but Luke Skywalker’s actor staggered to the brink of a spoiler in his latest tweet.

If you are one Star Wars they make you like to be surprised and you they are not sure what it is, and then stop reading now. If that doesn’t describe you, go ahead.

“The fact that we were able to keep my involvement a secret for more than a year without leaks is nothing short of a miracle,” Hamill posted Saturday. “A real triumph for spoiler haters everywhere! #LooseLipsSinkStarships #STFU ” The tweet was a follow-up to another more cryptic one he posted Friday: “Have you seen anything good on TV lately?”

Out of context, Hamill could be talking about anything here. It could have been the surprise of the next one Single final or a new member of Joe Biden’s cabinet. But of course that’s not the case and Hamill is referring to his computer-enhanced appearance the end of the second season of The Mandalorian.

If you’ve gotten this far and you’re not Mandaloriana viewer or internet driver, here’s the gist: Hamill appeared in the final minutes of the Mandalorian season finale, which fell on Friday at Disney +. It was digitally aged to appear as Luke Skywalker would have a few years later Return of the Jedi. After a tearful farewell, The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) relinquished custody of The Child (also known as Yellow) and sent him with Hamill’s Jedi to train them to use his gifts. It wasn’t the only potential spoiler that came out of Friday’s episode, but it was the most shocking for sure.

Of course, Hamill didn’t explicitly give away anything and technically gave more than 24 hours for the superfans to have seen the episode, but he doubts what a proper timeline for spoiler discussions is. It’s something we often contemplate here The AV Club, as we want to give people a place to discuss their thoughts on something without ruining it for others. Sometimes we are probably too cautious, others, perhaps, we have been disproportionate. And when it comes to transmission, things get even more complicated.

Excuse us as we get into a ball and think about our spoiler policy …
