The United States has administered more than half a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the first week of the country’s mass inoculation campaign, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday.
The shots, made by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE, are mainly distributed to leading healthcare workers across the country. In total, 556,208 shots of 2.84 million have been distributed so far, according to the agency on line. The Atlanta-based CDC monitors the shootings as part of the nationwide deployment, as well as to monitor its safety.
