The Cleveland Browns announced their inactive pre-match list for Sunday Night Football game night with the New York Giants.
Striker Mack Wilson tops the list of three starters who will not play at MetLife Stadium. Wilson is a healthy scratch after not having been previously included in the injury report. Rookie Jacob Phillips will start in his place.
Chris Hubbard will start on Wyatt Teller’s right guard (ankle) and Sheldrick Redwine will have to fill Andrew Sendejo (concussion) for free. Wide receiver Marvin Hall, defensive end Joe Jackson and winger Robert Jackson are also inactive for tonight’s first-hour game.
The Browns reclaim cornerback Denzel Ward, Austin Hooper and receiver KhaDarel Hodge. Ward (calf) missed the last three games and Hodge (hamstring) has been out of the last two contests. Hooper did not play last week with a neck injury.
David Njoku (knee) will also play after he was previously considered questionable.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski has named Baker Mayfield for tonight’s game against former manager Freddie Kitchens. Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was placed on the COVID list earlier this week, prompting kitchens to take on call-up roles.
The Giants will be officially without starting quarterback Daniel Jones. Colts McCoy, former Browns quarterback, will start in his place.
Former Cleveland right-back Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) will play after a questionable designation. Evan Engram and Kaden Smith, who were also considered doubtful with knee injuries, will play tonight.
