Roy Waller, also known as the “NorCal rapist,” was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole in Sacramento, California.
On Friday, Waller received the maximum sentence of 897 years in state prison.
For 15 years, the former UC Berkeley employee, 60, was accused of sexually assaulting and assaulting nine women across Golden State.

Last month, Waller was convicted of 46 charges. According to officials, he continued to claim his innocence and refused to apologize to the victims, who testified Friday.
“He knows he has been shown to be the NorCal rapist and while he will not admit it, he will not apologize, although he will not show any remorse,” prosecutor Keith Hill said. “He’ll know what the jury said, according to today.”
Waller reportedly plans to appeal the sentence while maintaining his innocence.
