On Sunday, five days before Santa’s arrival, Lizzo surprised his mother, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, and gave her a new car for Christmas.
The 32-year-old singer-songwriter shared on Instagram “with my mom a new Audi for Christmas,” along with a video of the emotional gift moment that saw her mom shed many tears of joy for the generosity of his daughter.

The video begins when Johnson-Jefferson is driven out of his home with his eyes closed while several family members seemed to be watching with anticipation.
“Okay, Merry Christmas, Mom, open your eyes,” Lizzo (born Melissa Viviane Jefferson) said with excitement just behind the camera as her mother is guided to turn left.
With her hands nervously folded, her mother opened her eyes and began to cry when she saw her new black Audi coming complete with a red bow at the top of the front hood.
The video begins with Johnson-Jefferson driven away from home with his eyes closed as several family members seemed to be looking at them with anticipation.

It’s season: with her hands nervously folded, her mother opened her eyes and began to cry at the sight of her new black Audi complete with a red bow.
“Oh God, thank you so much,” he said as he went in to give his daughter a big hug. ‘Oh my goodness.’
“I have an Audi girl,” the Truth Hurts rapper explained as family members clapped and clapped in the background. —This is an Audi; can’t see circles? [emblem] in this, come on!
With happy tears still flowing, Johnson-Jefferson walked over to the car to take a closer look and confessed, “Don’t expect this to happen to you yourself,” which sparked an emotional “ahhhhh” from Lizzo.
“I remember crying in my car when my father passed by, jobless, with no money to live on, wishing I could one day take care of my family,” Lizzo added to the title.
“I couldn’t do it for my dad, so I make sure I spoil my mom. Happy holidays everyone.
Shining with joy, “Oh God, thank you so much,” Johnson-Jefferson said as he came in to give his daughter a big hug.

Lizzo’s father, Michael Jefferson, died in 2010 when he was a student on a music scholarship at the University of Houston. Her death caused her a deep depression.

No doubt Lizzo would have made his father proud of his meteoric rise as a featured artist with three Grammy Awards, a Billboard Award, a BET Award, two iHeartRadio Music Awards and two Soul Train Music Awards since 2019.
