Dolly Parton’s sister hits politicians for vaccine

A tweet sent over the weekend by Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella, where politicians were criticized for the coronavirus vaccine, has gone viral, The Hill reported Sunday.

Stella Parton, herself a country music singer, referring to her sister’s donation to support Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine research, wrote in Twitter that “If a little Hillbilly singer like my older sister Dolly can invest in the vaccine, why the hell some of you old moldy politicians can’t introduce you to a few million?”

The tweet generated more than 350,000 likes in the past two days and occurred as congressmen continued to try to reach an agreement on coronavirus relief legislation, which was finally reached on Sunday afternoon.

Stella Parton also criticized politicians who “started getting vaccinated right away while people were starving and dying.”

Hill noted, however, that some of the utilities did so to instill confidence in the vaccine among the general population amid fears it could be harmful.

He also diverted his anger against the TVs in another tweet, writing that “I haven’t heard of a televangelist giving a damn penny to the research fund, but I’m sure they can throw the herd and try to cast out demons when they are possessed.”
