HOUSTON – Who doesn’t love the sound of the new year seeing an exciting castle of fires surrounded by their loved ones?
We’ve tracked free New Year’s Eve celebrations for families, with fireworks in Houston, and here’s what we found:
The City of Houston and the City of Sugar Land will not be hosting any New Year’s celebrations this year. But there are still some options available in the Houston area to welcome 2021 with a good fireworks display.
The CityCentre New Year’s Eve celebration begins at 9:30 p.m. The evening will kick off with live music in the five-piece A Sure Thing variety dance band plaza, followed by a countdown to midnight with confetti and a 60-second rooftop fireworks display, if the time allows.
There will also be a children’s celebration presented by Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., called noon noon, where children will count down until noon. Last year’s celebration featured a DJ, bubbles, face painting, a balloon and cartoon artist and a magic mirror photo booth. Details of this year’s event have not yet been released.
