He stressed that a critical aspect of his battle with the virus was that he and Wilson had shut themselves down to stifle the spread.

“I think it was a lot more important, because the second half of the COVID-19 formula was that we didn’t give it to anyone,” Hanks said. “By blocking ourselves, we would wear masks and still do it, not just to not grab it, but to not give it to anyone.”

Saving Private star Ryan said he and Wilson resisted “a tough couple of ten days” in their initial battle with the virus, and have since donated blood to help researchers after the discovery of antibodies in their systems.

Hanks revealed Wilson’s health and on March 11, the same day, NBA star Rudy Goebert tested positive for the virus, stopping the NBA for months.

Hanks stressed that a critical aspect of his battle with the virus was that he and Wilson had shut themselves in to stifle the spread.

“Hello people. @Ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who cares for us so well,” he said on social media. “We have Covid-19 and we are isolated, so we don’t spread it to anyone else. There are those who can cause a very serious illness.

At the time, Hanks and Wilson were being cared for at Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia, where they were filming a film.

“There are things we can all do to achieve this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and others, right? Remember, despite the current situation, there is no crying in baseball.”
