Epic Games has confirmed that a long-awaited game feature will arrive, or at least its proper implementation Fortnite early next year. Coming to Twitter, via the Fortnite Status account, Epic Games recently admitted that it “set aside” when it added an option to turn off pre-editions with the 15.10 update for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X , Xbox Series S, PC, Nintendo Switch and real mobile battle game.
Adding to this admission, Epic Games notes that it is aware that many players find pre-editing unnecessary and would like a setting that suppresses the option to edit a compilation until it is in place. To do this, he plans to “adjust the settings early next year.”
Unfortunately, this is where the tweet ends, and so far no follow-up details have been provided, which means it’s unclear exactly what adjustments are being made and when they will be made in early 2021. Usually in early of next year refers to the period from January 1 to April 1, but of course it is also inherently a rather subjective term.
We understand that we lost the note by adding an option to disable pre-editions on 15.10. We know that many of you feel that pre-editing is not necessary and you would like a setup in which you cannot edit a compilation until the version is in place. We plan to adjust the settings early next year.
