President Donald Trump threw a key into the $ 900 billion bipartisan relief bill Tuesday night when he asked Congress to amend the package to include larger direct payments and cuts in what he considered “articles wasteful and unnecessary ”.

Is the Stock Market closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2020?
The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will close at 1 p.m., Eastern Time, on Christmas Eve. Both will be closed on Friday for Christmas. US bond and over-the-counter markets will also close at 2pm on December 24th and all day on December 25th.
Do foreign exchange changes open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2020?
The Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange will be open on both days. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange closes at noon, local time, Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas Day.

Going back to 2007 — excluding the years when Christmas Day fell on a weekend — the average volume of Christmas Eve on the NYSE Composite and Nasdaq Composite was 36.8% of a normal day during this period. , according to FactSet data compiled by Dow Jones Market Data.
How did the actions work on Christmas Eve?
Excluding the years when the market closed on Christmas Eve, the S&P 500 gained an average of 0.2% on Christmas night, higher than its average daily gain of 0.13%, according to Dow Jones Market Data. But the average movement of the index on Christmas night is 0.48%, lower than its daily movement of 0.74%.
