Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley would not give the teams the playing field of Brian Daboll

The highest peak to reach an NFL coach is the bench head. The head coach is the tallest and only a handful of people get there.

With the improvements the Bills (11-3) have seen quarterback Josh Allen and his overall offense over the past year, some suggest Buffalo offensive coordinator Brian Daboll could be on the verge of reaching those levels. .. and soon.

Everyone knows that Daboll and other coaches aspire to these heights. For this reason, those around the potential candidates to train in head wish guys like Daboll well as they try to get to know their dreams.

Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley decided to take a different approach this week.

Other participants with the Bills (11-3), such as head coach Sean McDermott, did the good they wished through their video conference. The broad duo decided to consider their own perspectives.

“I’m not going to give any pitch to any team for Brian Daboll … this is my pitch … it’s not going anywhere, it stays with me,” Beasley said via video conference Wednesday. “I told him I couldn’t leave until it was over.”

“In my mind, it stays here … I don’t want to talk about it at all,” Beasley added.

Don’t read it wrong. Beasley said it all with a smile, but affirmed his point. The receiver of the whole slot knows how crucial it has been for Daboll to have been towards the Bills ’offense on offense and frankly wants that guy still in his corner to move forward. Who could blame him?

On Diggs, it echoed Beasley, basically. However, Diggs sent in some wishes.

“I do not want to give up so that he does not leave. I would say it handles everything the right way. He comes to you from all angles, not just as a player and coach, but as a guy who understands the game. He is a professional. He’s serious, he’s professional … I love playing with him. But I don’t want to give you too good a tone, ”Diggs said.

Unfortunately for Beasley and Diggs, much of this situation is out of their control … and what is under their control will not help their cause. How much more help can the couple win at the Bills? The better Daboll looks along the way.

But all is not lost yet. Many boys have been candidates to train in head for many years before being hired. McDermott even had several interviews for several years before being hired in Buffalo. Then, of course, there are guys like Giants head coach Joe Judge who come out of nowhere to take a possible opening that seemed appropriate for others.

At this point, it’s almost a waste of energy to worry about whether Daboll will return or not. Just enjoy the 2020 trip and when we get there we get there.
