The developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 celebrate with songs about brain worms

A Mind Flayer hangs out with Santa in Larian's Tadpole For You music video, Tadpole For Me.

Christmas music as a genre is full of earworms (right now I have the Slade gagged on my own head), but the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 have taken it a step further with Christmas brainworms. Larian Studios has today released the Christmas gift surprise from Tadpole For You, Tadpole For Me, a festive song about the Mind Flayer parasite infestation. And yes, the developers sing it themselves. Al cap ia la fi, el Christmaaaaas de iiiiiiiiiiiiitt. Ah damn God.

Baldur’s Gate 3 would be a very different game if our characters were so excited about their own Mind Flayer bigheads. It makes you wonder if they shouldn’t go with the flow. Sounds like a lot of fun, really. What’s the worst that can happen?

The fantasy RPG went into early access this year, with the intention of launching it completely in 2021. In our early access review of Baldur’s Gate 3 he really liked it, though Matthew Castle thought he could wait. until it was completed and finished. I’m enduring myself.

Outreach: Our former Adam (RPS at Peace) now works for Larian as a writer. If we create a song, maybe it will come back to us?
