LOS ANGELES – Another observation of a jetpack flying over the Los Angeles area has been reported, a recurring mystery reported by pilots who, until now, had not been captured on video.
An instructor with a local flight school captured images of what appears to be an elusive “home jetpack” flying off the coast of Palos Verdes at an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
Commercial pilots flying near Los Angeles International Airport have had at least two jetpack sightings this year, although no images have been recorded.
The FAA and the FBI are investigating these previous observations, as jet skis can pose a danger to aircraft.
The new film was released by Sling Pilot Academy.
In late August, two commercial airline pilots reported seeing someone in a jet pack near planes around LAX.
Another observation was reported in Century City in October by a China Airlines crew.
