A 4.8 quake was recorded Thursday with its epicenter in Yauco, southern Puerto Rico, after several earthquakes of between 2.1 and 4.6 since this morning on the island.
Authorities have so far issued no tsunami alert.
The epicenter of the telluric motion has been located 12.9 kilometers south of Guyanilla and the depth of the same has been 2 kilometers, reported the Seismic Network of Puerto Rico (RSPR).
At least 14 earthquakes, one of them of 4.6 degrees and recorded between Guyanilla and Peñuelas, have been detected since this morning by the RSPR in to the south of the island.
