Walter Pérez, as he was better known, had an electromechanical workshop at the place where he was murdered; in addition, he was instructor of skating in the mayorship of Zacatecoluca and in the Cafetalón, Santa Tecla.

Walter was the last resort that automotive workshops had when they could not find a solution to an electronic problem of a vehicle, their relatives said as they waited yesterday afternoon for the Institute of Forensic Medicine to hand over the remains to be guarded and buried.

José Walter Ulisses Pérez Aguilar was an electronic engineer, according to his relatives, and had his workshop in the same house where he lived, on Santa Cecília Street in the Santa Anita neighborhood, south of San Salvador, where at 5:00 p.m. last Thursday he was shot by subjects riding a motorcycle.

Relatives of the victim told El Diari d’Avui that they could not find an explanation for Walter’s murder, although some media have claimed that he was killed to defend another person from an assault, relatives are not sure. of this, though they do not rule it out because “he was one of those people who if he looked at someone in danger or in trouble would not hesitate to help him,” one relative stated.

According to sources, at Walter’s house they were preparing for Christmas Eve. All of a sudden he left the house, then heard several detonations.

By the date, relatives thought it was rockets, until a neighbor ran to warn them that Walter had been shot. In the neighborhood it is said that before Walter was riddled, they saw two well-polarized vehicles roaming the place; they are not neighbors ’vehicles, they have claimed.

Authorities not yet reviewed videos

The killers were two subjects who were riding a motorcycle. Apparently, they first shot him, the victim ran but chased him until he finished.
