This year’s Christmas has had a different taste for the family of the regeton the Damage, Being the first to celebrate without the physical presence of the artist.
Emotional posts point to the lack of such a special date for families. “Today there is an immense void in our home, in our lives, but you, my love, are my reason for living,” Iraisel, widow of the reggaeton player, said on Instagram.
For his part, Yomil Hidalgo, who joined Dany, one of the most popular duos in Cuban music in recent years, wished his fans a Merry Christmas and accompanied his publication with the hashtag #vaportidanilo in reference to the missing artist.
The daughter, Daniela, put on a beautiful photo with Santa’s hat and a gift in his hands, on the occasion of the date.
A few days ago, Yomil thanked Cuban-American producer Armando Christian Perez, known by the stage name Pitbull, and the reggaeton player IAmChino, to keep Damage in mind on an issue they premiered together.
The death of Daniel Muñoz, El Dany, at the age of 31, was a tragic event that shocked Cubans inside and outside the country on July 18. The artist died at the Calixto García Hospital in Havana. Fighting medical personnel stated that the death was the result of a cardiac arrest caused by a thrombus.
Shortly afterwards Yomil claimed that the death of his friend was the result of medical negligence, so he described as “disrespectful” the opinion offered by the authorities.
For its part, the official newspaper Granma he had pointed to the cause of death as an acute cardiovascular condition, without offering any details in this respect. Soon after, the Provincial Directorate of Public Health of Havana announced that it had appointed a commission, composed of high-level specialists, to investigate the causes of the death of the Damage.
“So far we’ve been quietly waiting for them to be smart and do justice, but apparently it wasn’t done. Life is respected and more so that of my little brother who had so many qualities of a great human being and with a whole life to do ahead, ”Yomil commented then.
To this dissatisfaction the one of Iraisel was united, widow of the regeton player, Who shared on social media the opinion of Yomil and that of many users who also demanded justice for the father of his daughter, Daniela.
In September, Yomil, who had stopped asking for clarification on the death of his colleague, explained that he gave up his intentions for family reasons.
“Why haven’t they seen me on the networks asking for justice anymore? It’s because of their mother Iliana, whom I respect and have had immense affection for for many years. She called me personally to ask me to stop, “Please don’t ask for anything more for your son. That’s why I made that decision and withdrew a little bit,” he said.
“My brother and I have already been well and will continue to be well and I will keep his legacy very much in mind, but there is a family that I have to respect. In this case, a mother who says no, and I can’t go above his mother, ” he assured.
