The Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic presented this Friday the calendar of games for the series or miniplayoff that will be played by the Oriental Stars and Lions of the Chosen to define the last qualifying contingent in the semifinal round.
The series, at the best of a 3-2 between greens and reds, will have its first engagement this Sunday 27, from 4:00 pm, at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium, in Sant Pere de Macorís.
Afterwards, it will continue on Monday at 6:00 pm, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium in Santo Domingo, and if necessary a third meeting will return to the Sultana del Este park.
The Pachyderms finished 15-15 and the Scarlets 14-16, a difference of 1.0 match, but according to the competition regulations of the 2020-21 tournament, the teams that are in fourth and fifth place, and if the difference it’s less than three games ahead of each other, they would play a mini-series at a 3-2.
The Cibao Giants, winners of the regular series with a mark of 16-14, will wait for the winner of this series to start their semifinal on January 2.
The other semifinalist round will be between Águilas Cibaeñas and Bous de l’Est.
