Mitch and Republicans they don’t do anything, they just want to let it go. NO FIGHT! ”Trump tweeted.

The comment marked the last general aspect of Trump’s attempt to get at least one Republican Party senator to respond to a challenge to the results of the Electoral College when Congress meets to certify them on Jan. 6.
So far, no upper-house Republican has definitively said he will support a challenge pushed by several Republican House members in the House, although Alabama’s elected senate Tommy Tuberville (R) has suggested he could support the challenge.
Senate Republicans hope to avoid a tough fight with the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue over the results of the Electoral College, while Trump intensifies his pressure campaign to convince Tuberville to join his House allies.
“Ultimately, every senator will have to make their own decision about it, but I think there will be people, yes, who will be approaching him to find out” what he will do, Whip of the Senate majority John ThuneJohn Randolph ThuneGOP tries to avoid Trump’s messy fight for Trump’s last few weeks at the Electoral School creates chaos as Congress Republicans fight to avoid a legislative disaster by the end of the year MORE (RS.D.) said about Tuberville’s intentions on the Electoral College count.
“I hope in the end that all senators will conclude that these elections need to end and it is time to continue,” added Thune, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate.
Trump earlier in the week went after Thune while attacking Senate Republicans ahead of the January certification vote, suggesting the top Republican Party senator would be primary in two years.
“Republicans in the Senate forget so quickly. Right now they would go down 8 seats without supporting them in the last election, “Trump tweeted.” RINO John Thune, Mitch’s boyfriend, should let him play. South Dakota doesn’t like weakness. It will be primary in 2022 , the political career is over !!! ”
McConnell has pressured his colleagues to stay away from the Electoral College struggle, saying doing so would force them to vote to eliminate the challenge the Republican Party would share with Trump.
Trump and his allies in Congress and right-leaning media have claimed without proof that widespread fraud and electoral irregularities cost him a second term. The president has persecuted several Republicans, including Thune, for failing to pursue his efforts to annul the election.
Thune said this week that Trump’s efforts to subvert the election “would go down like a shot dog.”
The president has chained the Justice Department to its pressure campaign, saying the agency should be ashamed of itself for not supporting its claims.
“The Department of Justice and the FBI have done nothing about electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential election, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. “He’ll remember. Never give up. Look at everyone in DC on January 6th,” he tweeted on Saturday.
