With the aim of bringing joy and music in these Christmas festivities to all Dominican homes, the Presidency of the Republic will begin tonight the series of virtual concerts “Christmas at Home”.
From 9:00 pm, the Dominican family will be able to enjoy free artistic presentations with the various exponents of meringue, bachata, salsa, urban music and ballad.
Silvio Mora, Luis Miguel de l’Amargue, Fefita the Great, Eddy Herrera, the Rosary Brothers, María Díaz, Rubby Pérez, Pochy Family, Peña Suazo, Miriam Cruz, Techy Fatule, Mozart La Per, La Materialista, Chiquito Team Band, sex-appeal, Bonny and Richie Cepeda, Amarfis, Sergio Vargas, Manny Cruz and Fernando Villalona make up the artistic billboard that for four days Dominicans can enjoy from anywhere in the world.
A press release states that the initiative is part of the actions of President Luis Abinader in his commitment to support the arts sector on which hundreds of families depend, and that has been severely affected over the past 10 months by the effects of the pandemic de l’Covid -19 and, in turn, gives citizens options to enjoy their entertainment during these Christmas festivities while staying at home respecting the provisions of the curfew.
The “Christmas at Home” Lives concerts, held under the coordination of the Cabinet of Social Policy and its head, Tony Peña, and the President’s Adviser on Art, Engelbert Landolfi; will be broadcast every night through the official social media accounts of the government house @PresidenciaRD and @ComunicacionDO.
