UNITED STATES.- The US pharmacy chain CVS will begin applying vaccines against Covid-19 in nursing homes for the elderly and sick next Monday, and will offer it to the general public in 2021.
In this regard, CVS was hired by the U.S. Department of Health to administer the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech in 12 U.S. states.
CVS plans to administer the coronavirus vaccine in 40,000 asylums over the next 12 weeks, and then offer them to the public at its more than 10,000 branches across the United States, by appointment, achieving a capacity of between 20 and 25 million monthly applications.
Also, the supermarket chain Walmart had announced that it would also sell and apply the coronavirus vaccine in its pharmacies, so it was purchasing freezers and dry ice for the medicine’s storage in its wineries.
Meanwhile, other countries such as Hungary and France have started applying their first doses, and the rest of the European Union countries will do so between next Sunday and Monday.
