Christmas Bandit Caught Stealing Small Business – NBC 7 San Diego

Serpentine Cider owner Sean Harris is asking the community for help identifying a Christmas bandit.

“You feel raped, all sorts of emotions,” Harris said after sharing the safety video of a man stealing space heaters and a canopy in the courtyard of the Serpentine Cider on Christmas Eve in Miramar .

“It simply came to our notice then. We’ve been going through everything that’s happened and now, the last week, ”said Harris, who believed he had gone through the worst of 2020, after the pandemic forced two stops and called for exclusive service.

“Sometimes it’s terrifying,” Harris ’girlfriend Bree Steffen said. Harris agreed: “It’s terrifying. It’s hard to see your bank account plummeting. “

And now they have received again.

“All the heaters were stolen, the canopy was gone, some of the tables and chairs were broken and the lights were broken,” Harris explained.

Harris said the thief was seen unloading an extension cord and a power tool he used to break the locks that secured the objects to the yard. Harris estimates a loss of a few thousand dollars, but said the hardest loss is the damaged furniture he built with his father, who lives in the north.

“It is heartbreaking to see that my father and my hard work literally stepped on. Having to rebuild it will be difficult. My father is about 70 years old. I can’t go out during COVID and help myself, so I will do it myself. It just won’t have the same effect as building it with my dad. And more money than we no longer have, “Harris said.” I really hope someone recognizes him before he does (clothes) someone else. If he could do this to us for Christmas, he could do it to someone else. ”

If you recognize the man in the video, you will be asked to call the police.
