Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young faced a play from Memphis Grizzlies quarterback Grayson Allen on Saturday’s game, apparently feeling Allen trying to step on him intentionally.
Young came out of the screen while Allen stood back and his feet tangled, with Young tripping over the play a bit.
“Damn … tell me what you see !! Smh”
“> Young tweeted on Sunday. “this should stop.! #ifyoudontknownowyou know”
Allen has a reputation for stepping on opponents and goes back to his stage at Duke. In 2017, coach Mike Krzyzewski sanctioned Allen for repeated breaking incidents.
Allen sarcastically he replied to Young on Twitter: “Damn, that must have been really bad. I’m sorry. I hope it’s okay.”
Allen and Young have a bit of history. The two got double technical fouls in a preseason game this year. Prior to that, Young and Allen fought in a summer league game in 2018 as rookies.
The Hawks beat the Grizzlies 122-112 on Saturday, with Young scoring a maximum of 36 points in the end with nine assists.
