Nokia signs a 5G agreement with a Thai mobile operator

Nokia Corp. said Monday it signed an agreement in Thailand with mobile phone operator dtac to provide 5G services in the north and northeast of the country.

The telecom equipment maker said that as part of the deal, which is an extension of Nokia’s partnership with the Thai dtac, it will ensure that the operator’s network performance is ready. 5G and will allow faster deployment of 5G services.

The deal will last three years and the deployment of the service is expected to end in 2022, the company said.

Nokia will also provide dtac with its AirScale Radio Access solutions for 4G and 5G networks, which aims to improve overall network performance, he said.

As part of the deal, the Thai telecommunications company will also make use of Nokia’s network management system, the company said.
