The Dominican Liberation Party approved the re-election of its current members of the central committee and agreed to create about 300 new seats in that body.
The decisions are framed within the decisions of the ordinary congress José Joaquín Bidó Medina, which carries out the political organization internship.
On the central committee it was decided that it will be composed of not less than 955 members, who will remain in office for 4 years.
The decisions were announced by the Organizing Committee of the IX Ordinary Congress José Joaquín Bidó Medina, in a press conference at the national home of PLD.
In addition, a transitional paragraph was approved, indicating that during 2021-2025 the Central Committee will be composed of the current 460 members of the Central Committee, legislators, mayors and municipal directors elected in the 2020 elections, in addition to “the proposed by the Political Committee ”and 300 members to be elected at the local, national and foreign level.
The PLD created the Advisory Committee, which will be composed of members of the Political Committee who do not continue as part of this body.
“The President, the Vice-Presidents, and the Secretary-General may not hold office in the Dominican State or be candidates for elective office. to communicate their aspirations, ”notes one of the decisions made by Congress.
