Sir Paul McCartney claims to have been speaking to the late George Harrison via a TREE

Sir Paul McCartney has stated that he has been talking to George Harrison, as he believes the spirit of his late friend has inhabited a tree in his house.

The 78-year-old music icon made his sincere confession while appearing on NPR earlier this month and said his Beatles teammates, who died in 2001 of lung cancer, had given him the fir tree.

He explained: “George was very dedicated to horticulture, a good gardener, so he gave me a tree. It’s a big fir tree and it’s next to my door.

“When I get out of the house this morning, I get out of the car, I close the door and I look at the tree and I say, ‘Hello, George.’

Here it is, growing strongly. And you know, that takes me back to the time when I was hitchhiking with him. They are an ever-present presence, if that’s a way of saying it.

Paul continued, “It’s lovely. He gave it to me, I just planted it. But then, as the years go by, every time I look at it, I say, ‘This is the tree George gave me.’

“George has entered this tree, for me. I hope he is happy with it.

“I wasn’t trying to make an album. So all of a sudden I had these 10 songs, I thought, what am I going to do with these? It was only ten because I didn’t know I was making an album. ‘

During the closing, Paul stayed in the camp with his daughter Mary and children.

From the experience, he continued: “I was very lucky. I was locked up with my daughter Mary and her family, and then I was able to go to the studio to work, it was a very safe place. We were apart, we were always very careful.

“I was on holiday earlier this year and then I hit, hit, so I came back and I was locked up in the country.

‘[It] It was good as it meant I was with four of my grandchildren, all of a sudden it was fantastic.

I was able to go to the studio. The government said you can only go to work if you can’t work from home. So I don’t have a home studio, my home studio is 20 minutes away.

“Then I started thinking, what about that song I had a few months ago that I never finished. So we took it out and it would work …
