Could Chris Harrison break up with the “Bachelor”?
Amid speculation that the veteran host of the ABC franchise could be left behind for nearly 20 years, Page Six has exclusively learned that Harrison is building a home in a wealthy enclave of Austin, Texas, far, far away. Los Angeles, where the show is usually tapes.
Rumors went back this summer that Harrison was quitting after Variety reported that, for the first time in the long history of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette,” he would miss several episodes of “The Bachelorette” and be temporarily replaced by the season 12 contestant JoJo Fletcher.
He explained to viewers that he had just taken a break to take his son Joshua to college and that it would take a while to get back to his position so that the COVID procedures, which have allowed the spit exchange program to continue to fire despite the pandemic, forced him to quarantine before returning to work. But now we are told that Harrison is building a new place for him and his host girlfriend “Entertainment Tonight,” Lauren Zima, in the Barton Creek area of the southern city.
His son goes to school at Texas Christian College in Fort Worth. He is originally from Dallas.
According to reports, Harrison and Zima started dating in August 2018.
ABC representatives declined to comment and Harrison representatives did not respond.
