YORO, HONDURAS.- An indigenous leader tolupán was assassinated the afternoon of this Tuesday a the sector of Candlemas, municipality of Morazán, Yoro, zone Center-North of Honduras.
The victim responded to the name of Adam Mejía, Which, according to preliminary information, was integral and leader of the Candlemas Tribe in Yoro.

According to reports, the victim was working in the sector when he was killed by strangers.
The man’s body was left in his shirtless place and in a red sack, which he allegedly was carrying at the time of his murder.
So far the reasons are unknown, for which they would have taken the life of Mejía, so they will be the agents of the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI) who will have to investigate the case.
