Lakitu finally gets his time in the spotlight after decades of being Mario’s unfortunate cameraman. Sure, there have been times he has thrown things at us from the cloud, but who can blame him? It never joins in the fun.
The theme of the New Year 2021 tour, which is already being held live Mario Kart Tour, seems to be a “party,” which apparently looks like a lot of shiny reflective surfaces and big hats. Along with Party Pauline, Party Toad and the fun Party Wing disco vehicle, our new Lakitu kart driver is all dressed up and ready to go for an extremely bright New Year’s shindig.
NintendoThere are some pretty nice details about the new additions, such as a “2020” sign on the back of Pauline’s car, confetti in her hair and the little party hat on Toad’s head … or maybe he’s already wearing a hat? We don’t think about it too much.
