After days of silence amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, fashion designer Alexander Wang has issued a statement denying all allegations made against him.
“Over the last few days, I have received unfounded and grotesquely false accusations,” Wang said. “These claims have been unfairly expanded on behalf of infamous social media for posting defamatory material from undisclosed and / or anonymous sources with no evidence or any fact that proves anything. Seeing these lies about my perpetuation as truth has I have never been involved in the atrocious behavior described and would never behave in the way it is supposed to.I intend to get to the bottom of this and hold those responsible responsible for originating these claims and spreading them brutally. on line “.
Industry surveillance Instagram account @ShitModelMgmt first posted anonymous stories of the New York designer drugging and sexually harassing or assaulting male and trans models. These stories arose after a model named Owen Mooney claimed that a “very famous fashion designer” palpated him inside a club in 2017.
“I was alone at one point and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could move and started touching me,” Mooney said. “And fully on my leg, on my crotch, as if they were making me completely freeze because I was so shocked” He later confirmed that the man he was referring to was Wang.
@ShitModelMgmt spent much of this week posting screenshots of anonymous direct messages where writers accuse Wang of predation. Some of the allegations share a similar theme: these victims allege that Wang offered them bottles of water that they did not know were bound with MDMA. These stories remain unverified.
