The “Soho Karen” who allegedly accused jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold’s 14-year-old son of sliding his iPhone into a hotel last year had two laws: one for public poisoning and another for drunk driving, according to a report .
Miya Ponsetto, 22, who was identified by The Post to NYPD sources as the woman caught on camera falsely accusing Keyon Harrold Jr., was arrested in Beverly Hills for public poisoning on Feb. 28, the Daily Mail reported. , who cited police reports and a criminal record.
This case is still pending and will have to go to court on January 28, according to the media.
And on May 28, she was convicted of drunk driving near Calabasas, a city in Los Angeles County where Kim Kardashian owns a large estate, the Daily Mail said.
Ponsetto received four felony counts: two for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for driving with a suspended license and one for illegal use of a driver’s license, according to the report.
In September, he did not defend any contest for the DUI charge. A hearing is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 14.
Ponsetto was also named in a civil case related to an eviction for non-payment in August 2019, the media reported, citing the court record.
The photos posted online with Ponsetto’s name appear to match the young woman who attacked the boy at the Arlo Hotel in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood.
“No, I won’t let him go with my phone!” he shouted at one point, according to a video clip posted online by Elder Harrold.
This week, NYPD chief detective Rodney Harrison has tweeted a montage of surveillance video clips that also included a shot of the woman’s face with the word “WANTED” under red letters.
He said the NYPD “requests the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in this video,” which he said “falsely accused a 14-year-old innocent teenager of stealing his cell phone,” and then attacked he physically and fled the scene. ”
On Tuesday, the woman told CNN that she was “concerned” about the consequences, but maintains her claim that she was assaulted during the incident.
He said that when he realized that the iPhone was missing, he demanded that a surveillance video be seen from the hotel lobby, and then asked everyone in the lobby to “empty their pockets” before settling on Keyon Jr. as a suspect.
“That’s when it all got a little more serious,” he told CNN in a phone interview.
He then threw himself at the teenager and his father, who was defending his son from the charges.
During a fight not completely captured in the clip, Harrold said, the woman scratched him and attacked the boy.
He said that shortly after the melee, an Uber driver appeared with the woman’s missing phone.
The NYPD has said it plans to beat the woman with rapes that could include assault, theft or attempted robbery, while Mayor Bill de Blasio has criticized the shooting as “simple and straightforward” racism.
