Esdres Samuel Laynez Berríos, the famous Honduran ex-soldier who rose to fame in mid-2020 after being fired for posting a video where he was seen dancing the song ‘Tra Tra’, died on the night of December 30 after being hit by a vehicle in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.

According to official reports, Laínez committed the recklessness of crossing the boulevard by a road not allowed for pedestrians, so that the law releases the driver of the car that struck him from liability.

There are several versions that have emerged around the death of Ezra. Some media, including elmundo.hn, claim that the young man, driven by love problems, intentionally threw himself into the vehicle, hitting him hard and losing his life almost immediately.

This Honduran media claims that Laínez’s mother indicated that her son was receiving medical care from a hospital after suffering an accident, however, he escaped from the hospital.

“The guard opened the door for him and he went out through another door, we all ran out to look for him, I just heard a noise and I thought my son’, ”the mother told the medium.

According to this news portal, the victim’s mother reprimanded that part of the blame lies with the ex-girlfriend of the retired military man, which is why the tiktoker sought to hurt himself.

Last May, 20-year-old Ezra jumped to fame on social media after Honduran Armed Forces (FAS) authorities fired him for sharing a short clip on Tik Tok, In which it showed his dowries of dancer while it took to the weapon and the uniform of the military institution.

At the time, Armed Forces spokesman Yuri Sanchez said they would not allow the FAS to be tainted by such videos.

He also revealed that between four and five soldiers were discharged for making such videos.

The FAS, through the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also issued a statement announcing that all members of this institution were prohibited from posting videos on TikTok. According to the document, officers, non-commissioned officers, troops and auxiliaries of the military corps who share audiovisuals on this social network will be disciplined in accordance with the law.

Faced with this situation Ezra commented to local journalists, that his dance at TikTok was not improvised; he assured that he had learned it since he was four years old, through the Internet, and that he continued to practice it.

“Dancing has been my passion. I will always keep doing it, it’s what I liked the most. That’s why I don’t worry, I know life doesn’t end here, it always continues, I will always continue with my music,” he commented Ezra to the see involved in that situation.
