Bad Bunny: “I would never want to see Puerto Rico as a state” stage

Although he stated that he has no prepared political or economic argument, urban artist Bad Bunny revealed that he would not want to see Puerto Rico as the 51st state in the United States.

“I would never want to see Puerto Rico as a state,” the 26-year-old Puerto Rican said in an interview with El País.

Although he had never shown political affiliation, in the last elections Benito Martínez endorsed Manuel Natal for the candidacy for mayor of San Juan.

In the interview with the Spanish media, Cono Malo argued that the tendency of Latinos to idolize Americans in music was not to their liking. “It has to be broken that gringos are gods … No, Daddy,” he said.

He also recounted that he believes he at some point went through depression. “From 2016-2018 disappearing, I was stuck in a capsule, unaware of anything. The world was seeing me, but I was gone,” he explained.

He also said that when there was a wave of protests against racism in the United States, “I was horrible in my personal life, I was in a situation where I didn’t feel well, and I had let go of my phone and social”.
