Konnan explains why AAA and CMLL do not work together

In the last month of 2020, many wrestling companies started talking about the possibility of working together; AAA and CMLL cannot be understood.

AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have started working together and who knows what 2021 will bring to these two companies. Triple H has also said that WWE is “open to business” when it comes to possible partnerships and working with other companies, so it’s an exciting time to be a fan of professional wrestling.

However, the two most important wrestling promotions in Mexico are stalled to work with each other for various reasons. The last time the two companies worked together, it didn’t end well, with matches that looked more like a shootout between the fighters than a job.

Konnan, who has worked for WCW, IMPACT Wrestling, Underground Fight and many other promotions around the world, has tried to get AAA and CMLL to work together in the past, but it just doesn’t work.

Konnan has tried to help AAA and CMLL work together

Recently, speaking with Michael Morales Torres de Lucha Libre Online, Konnan spoke openly about his frustrations about AAA and CMLL not letting go of their past to build a better future for the two companies.

“I tried to help them work together. But there is a natural paranoia. One company may not trust the other or may have had problems in the past and this scar has not yet healed. And I say, ‘Brother … What does it matter? The important thing is to give people something different. Your champion arrives here. The champion from here goes there ”. You bring a fighter and you do a three-month program here and another fighter there. And we all help each other. It’s not like, for example, the New Japan (NJPW) doesn’t work with us (AAA) because they work with the CMLL, that is, the Council. The Council (CMLL) does not work with AAA due to a problem that occurred between two men who are no longer there (both founders are dead).

“Imagine this guy! I don’t even think Dorian (owner of AAA) was even born when this problem started. Maybe he was just a boy. Sofia (owner of CMLl) was just a girl. I don’t think he was “I don’t know if I can explain. Then they dragged in. Once they had an event here called” Padrísimo. “Televisa (TV Network) made the two companies (AAA and CMLL) work together. “They really fought. They fought. FOR REAL! CMLL fanboys are like WWE fans, but worse. They’re thrown like you have no idea. Can you imagine if these companies did something?” together? it would fill the whole country for years. But there are egos. There is nothing but the ego. “

Do you want CMLL and AAA to work together? What do you think these two companies would need to put aside their differences to do business? Let us know in the comments section below.
