Puppy stolen from Warren’s family home, safely returned by police

WARREN, jo. – Bella, an eight-week-old American bulldog, was a Christmas present for Ashley Swinton and her children.

“We got it two days before Christmas and just a couple of days ago they handed me food,” he said.

Swinton asked for food through Door Dash. Bella was hanging from the closed porch of the Warren house when the driver was trapped in the camera leaving food and taking off with Bella.

“They (the family) originally thought the dog had just left the room,” Detective Brian Price told Warren Police Department.

When Bella was nowhere to be found, the family checked the surveillance cameras to see what was going on.

“No one can be trusted. You just can’t, ”Swinton said.

Swinton called Door Dash and got nowhere. That’s when he went to Warren’s police department, where he located the driver and Bella. The puppy has already returned home.

“In short, it was the children’s Christmas present. I’m glad the dog was able to get them back, ”Price said.

Police arrested the driver who took the dog away.
