Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro are on their way to becoming parents.
The 42-year-old entertainment journalist revealed that she and her 53-year-old production husband plan to move in to accommodate her growing family in Tuesday’s episode of her “Better Together” show.
He explained that he was thinking of a move to Nashville, saying, “It’s beautiful, [and] we are going to have a family. We want to raise them somewhere where there are kids next door to play with and don’t be afraid of. LA just doesn’t have that … especially in the childhood phase of our lives, [I] i want something different. … I think Nashville could be Mama Bear’s bed. “
He first announced that he had children in the episode of the show on Dec. 15, saying his pending arrival was helping his mother, Litsa, overcome her battle with COVID-19 and a brain tumor. Litsa previously battled stage 4 brain cancer.
Menounos said, “What I keep telling my mom is, ‘We’re going to get better every minute of every day, Mom. Every minute of every day we’re getting better and better.’ … That’s my mantra. I said, “You have to get strong, you have to stay; you have grandchildren coming and they might even show up … “well, they’ll definitely show up next year. I’d say about a certain time, but I still won’t share because I don’t want to, anyway!”
After joking that she would label the Christmas stockings “Diva No. 1 and Diva No. 2” for her children, she said her mother was excited and “held on” to the prospect of seeing the babies.
The couple first said they were considering subrogation to People in 2018 after Menounos had a brain tumor removed the year before.
“Today, Kevin has finally sent our paperwork to the surrogate agency because he’s been sitting at my desk for two weeks,” Menounos told Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “I put it on his desk and said,‘ You can scan? this and send it? Let’s have these kids! “… Who knows. Maybe next Christmas we’ll have little Marias and Kevins running around. ”
Although he did not specify how many children he expected or when they would have to win, he hinted that they would arrive soon.
The couple made a knot at a surprise New Year’s Eve wedding in 2018. They said “I do it” again in Greece in October of that year.
