Travelers can take the PCR test upon arrival in Colombia

In a new resolution, the Ministry of Health clarified that those who arrive in the country will be able to take this test when they arrive in Colombia. Otherwise, they will have to be isolated for 14 days.

According to the Minsalud, once arriving in Colombia, the passenger must inform the Migration Officer if he has the negative result of the PCR test, which must have been carried out within 96 hours prior to boarding.

In case you do not have it, you can choose to do it in Colombia although you will have to remain in preventive isolation until you receive the result. The costs will be borne by the traveler.

If the traveler does not have the proof and decides not to do so on arrival, he will have to remain in preventive isolation for 14 days and will have to report on the address of residence in which he will do so.

The decision of the Ministry of Health was taken in a grueling process that began with a sentence issued by the 11th Oral Administrative Court of the Bogota Circuit. After a guardianship action Judge Giovanni Humberto Legro ordered the Government to request this evidence.
