DeGeneres, 62, will return to work next week on the Warner Bros. batch. to film her daytime talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, with no audience on hand.
According to Variety, the show, which is produced by WB’s Telepictures Productions, will return to the studio Monday with a skeleton staff and crew.

Telepictures Productions aims to keep the number of employees available to a minimum, as everyone gets their normal salary after the problems staff had last year during the first months of the strike.
The production company last week held the talk show about the break in the midst of its recovery from the virus, as well as a hike in Los Angeles ’home county, according to Deadline.
The show, which stopped a week after its initial return on Jan. 4, shows reruns from Dec. 10 after DeGeneres said it had tested positive.

The show, which stopped a week after returning on Jan. 4, has been rehearsing since Dec. 10 after DeGeneres said it had tested positive.

“Due to the increase in COVID-19 in Los Angeles County and the continued safety of our staff and crew, the Ellen DeGeneres Show will boost production for a week,” the company said, with Jan. 11 as the current target date to resume production in the program.
Ellen, married to 47-year-old Portia De Rossi, returned to work last fall implementing social distance protocols amid the spread of the virus.
The Los Angeles Department of Public Health advised entertainment productions to cease face-to-face operations amid the county’s local peak.
The veteran television personality’s program initially stopped production on Dec. 10 after DeGeneres said it had tested positive on social media.
‘While music, television and film productions are allowed to operate, we urge you to firmly consider stopping work for a few weeks during this catastrophic increase in COVID cases. Identify and delay higher-risk activities and now, if possible, focus on lower-risk jobs, ”the department said, according to FilmLA.
As of Thursday, worldwide, 1,895,925 people have died amid more than 87,952,778 positive diagnoses worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. The total deaths from COVID-19 in the U.S. were 364,735 people, with 21,543,310 positive diagnoses.
In the home state of Ellen, California, officials said more than 28,045 people have died from the virus amid more than 2.5 million positive tests.
