The next Xbox Game Pass game was delayed a day before release

The next notable Xbox Game Pass game has been delayed a day before release. Yesterday, January 5, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate were consolidated with a new game: Killer Queen Black. However, on January 4, the game’s official Twitter account announced that the game would no longer reach Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on January 5, and rather has been delayed until the first quarter of 2021, it is at say, that it will now come out sometime between April 1, 2021.

According to the game’s official Twitter account, the delay is due to the developer’s commitment to quality. In this regard, he then cites a “hiccup” in development, although he does not specify what this hiccup is.

“Our commitment to quality is what has caused a hiccup on our Xbox release date,” the game’s official Twitter account said in a statement accompanying the news. “While we won’t be available on Game Pass for the original January 5 release date, we’ll be releasing the first quarter of 2021 to deliver an exceptional experience across all platforms and with our new Xbox players.”

For those who do not know: Killer Queen Black, inspired by the original Assassin queen, released in 2019 via Nintendo Switch and PC at a very solid 83 in Metacritic. That said, it’s not clear how robust its player base currently is, which is relevant information because it’s a multiplayer game.
