The official informed through a press release that the classes will continue to be taught in virtual mode, mainly through the Teams platform, so she urged parents or guardians to have on hand the username and password. of students.
“Initially, the classes will be in distance mode, but we will work with a detailed plan with the Department of Health and the National Guard for the vaccination process against COVID-19 and thus be able to reopen schools in a way stepped and, above all, safe for our children, young people and staff. It is a responsibility that I assume with great firmness and determination, “said Aponte Sants in written statements.
On the vaccination process, the official recalled that the DE conducted a survey in which 71% of all employees of the agency participated. Of that total, 88% expressed a desire to inoculate. Staff will be duly informed of the days they must attend for the administration of the vaccine.
In turn, the secretary recalled that from January 11, the Academic Progress Report of students will be generated and sent via e-mail.
The submission of grades will be by grade, starting from the primary level and continuing with the secondary level. The agency estimated that it will take about five days to be remitted in full. Parents or guardians must verify that the email that was registered on the Online Enrollment platform is available to receive grades.
“It is important to mention, too, that they can contact the school if by January 15 they have not received the report of grades or have any doubts about it,” he added. In the event that parents do not receive grades, they must notify the school and principals of establishing their individual plans for the delivery of grades in person while safeguarding COVID-19 prevention measures.
Education reported that, as part of the agenda for the start of work for teachers, two talks will be offered through the Teams platform focused on the management and control of emotions.
“The first talk, to be given today, January 8, by school psychologists, will be for school staff and will address the issues of emotion management, change management and identification of students who require particular attention. The second talk is “It will be offered to students of all levels and will be aimed at the management of emotions,” the statement said.
