On Monday night’s premiere of “The Bachelor,” two contestants showed up to meet season 25 boss Matt James, who wore the same red dress, but it was probably no coincidence.
Franchisee student Demi Burnett, who debuted in Colton Underwood’s The Bachelor season in 2019, recently opened up about how the show’s producers coexist contestants in times of accidental twinning.
“In my season, Heather [Martin] and this girl Laura, they had the same dress, “the 25-year-old explained on Us Weekly’s” Here for the Right Reasons “podcast.
“The producers tell you which of the costumes they think you should wear, so they probably wanted to remove something.”
However, this scheme can be counterproduced. “Heather and little girl Laura looked at each other and said,‘ Wow, we’re wearing the same dress, it’s great! They’re like, “It’s amazing,” Burnett continued.
“So it wasn’t a big deal and I think that was also what happened this time.”
During Monday’s premiere, Alana Milne and Anna Redman began looking for love with Nookie’s “Viva” dress ($ 269), which features a body fit, convertible straps and a subtle mermaid silhouette.
Burnett described the packaging for his “The Bachelor” season as “a nightmare.”
“Well, I used to be poor, I didn’t have money,” he said. “So I spent my last salary and bought a lot of dresses on sale at Dillard’s. That’s where I got all my rose ceremony dresses, cocktail dresses, swimsuits and things like that. “
Burnett’s parents got a particularly special look.
“For my one night dress, I would talk to my parents and they would say,‘ I need a good dress for this. This is like a huge moment. ” They told me, ‘Okay, we’ll buy your evening dress,’ ‘he recalled.
“My parents bought me a dress. I guarantee that the parents of those girls bought them all their dresses ”.
