Prior to CES 2021, Sony has announced its latest TVs with “human intelligence”, HomeKit and AirPlay support.
The Sony Bravia XR range has several header functions that include its unique XR cognitive processor. They feature industry-leading machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide the best image and sound for any scene.
Apple users will be happy to have HomeKit and AirPlay available on all three new TV series. Sony says users will need to run iOS 12.3 or later or macOS 10.14.5 or later to use these features.
Sony has officially announced three Bravia XR branded TVs, including the Master Series Z9J 8K LED, Master Series A90J / A80J OLED and Master Series X95J / X90J 4K LED. The main feature is that the Cognitive Processor XR performs active audio and video analysis to provide the best entertainment in its class.
Other features include Google TV with “Hello Google” functionality, HDMI 2.1 support, and specialized calibration modes for Netflix and IMAX video. Retail pricing and availability will be announced in the spring of 2021.
