Nancy Pelosi, president of the U.S. House of Representatives, spoke with the chairman of the Joint General Staff Board to prevent President Donald Trump from taking any military or nuclear action.
According to The Associated Press, the politician told several colleagues in a statement that he spoke with General Mark Milley “To discuss available precautions to prevent an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing launch codes and ordering a nuclear attack”.
According to the news agency, the Democratic leader claimed that “This upset president couldn’t be more dangerous.”
Pelosi will meet today with the Democratic caucus in Congress to consider starting a residency process against Trump, after the first executive instigated a group of co-religionists to take Congress by force.
The official, along with Democratic Senate leader Charles Schumer, called on Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet to activate Amendment 25 of the Constitution to force Trump’s exit.
Trump ends his term on January 20, when Joe Biden will be sworn in as president.
