Fortnite could get a major map change according to Epic Games Leak

It looks like Epic Games has a major change in store Fortnite in the pipeline, as a recent leak has hinted that something important would happen at the Coliseum’s location. The game has not received major updates in recent weeks due to the holiday season, but it does do so on a regular basis. Fortnite should start now that we get to the week of 2021. This could mean a big map change, which means a special event could be underway as Epic Games anticipates next season 6.

As for filtration, it is the most prominent way Fortnite Leaker and dataminer, “Mang0e,” who recently went on Twitter to reveal that a new variant for the Coliseum has been added in a recent update that is not currently in play. More specifically, they discovered archives and resources that suggest the Colosseum is about to fill with water.

Now, this could hint at a larger event involving some kind of flood, or it could be a more isolated change. As the data analyzer points out, the Romans occasionally filled the Colosseum with water for large ship battles. And, as you can see in the filtered image below, there is a boat, in addition to many docks for players to hold on to.

For now, grab it all with a grain of salt. Not only is there nothing official here, but data leaks can be misleading, and of course, everything is subject to changes in video game development. With Fortnite specifically, we’ve seen that Epic Games adds strength to game files that never get to the actual game.

Speaking of Epic Games, at the time of publication, he has not commented on this leak in any title, and it is very, very unlikely that this will change, but if he does, you can read about it here.

Fortnite is available for free across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android. For more coverage on the popular and free Battle Royale game, click here.
