Up to 5,000 boxes of medicine donated by the public, has received in recent days the department of Citizen Participation, which will be delivered to those who need it.
The director of the area, Maria de l’Socors Pérez Díaz, reported that despite the health emergency, the drug donation program remains in place to distribute them among the population.
Among the medicines delivered, they specialize in the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections and related to mental suffering, such as antidepressants and coronary heart disease, among others.
He invited people to keep donating, as many people do not have the resources to buy them and some are very expensive and resort to their area to apply for some, which they may or may not have.
The reception of medicines takes place from Monday to Friday in the Citizen Participation department, located at 111 Matamoros Street of the Administrative Unit, from 08:00 to 14:30.
The official asked that only one person come to donate the medicine, to comply with the health measures, and to those who request the donation of himself, present the prescription.
