Three officers are injured in the middle of a chase on Green Island

Two state agents and a municipal officer were injured this afternoon during a chase on Baldority Avenue in Castro heading for Carolina at the Embassy Suites Hotel on Green Island, police said.

Authorities said police were chasing a white Hyundai Accent car that allegedly fired at them. The incident was reported at about 3:50 p.m.

“Right now they are looking for the vehicle that was diverted to the residential Luis Llorens Torres. It is hot (the situation)”, Said Agent Ramirez, of the Police Press Office.

The Uniformed asked the public that if they have any information, they should be contacted immediately at 787-343-2020. The call will be treated confidentially.

Traffic in the area remains congested, mostly the lane heading toward Carolina, so drivers are urged to take alternate lanes.
