We’re not saying it’s because we had nothing better to do, but apparently in 2020 we all collectively tweeted 75% more about video games than we did in 2019. Huh! Strange!
With this large piece of tweets there is an interesting idea of what we really say with these letters: it seems so Animal Crossing: New Horizons it was the most important topic, ahead of mobile games Luck / Great Order i Disney: Twisted-Wonderland, both very popular in Japan.
Last December’s Game Game Awards were the most tweeted game event, in which New Horizons won the best family game, and we saw Sephiroth advertise himself as the latest Smash Bros. character.
Whether tweeting about them, sharing screenshots or just patiently waiting for news, they include the most followed game themes Fortnite, Minecraft, and Animal Crossing again. The issues of “PlayStation” and “Xbox” were also in the top ten, but “Nintendo” and “Switch” did not, possibly because we can not bear the discouragement of having denied new direct rumors. Sigh.
In the meantime, it seems Between us has brought enormous recognition to his best-known players, as a musician and recognized deep-voice-having @Corpse_Husband erases the top ten “Most Playing Personalities on Games” after its streams with U.S. representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
We know we’ve been guilty of using Twitter to find beautiful Animal Crossing designs for our islands, but how did you use social media to talk about games? Let us know in the comments.
