Remember that magnificent LEGO set that came out last year, with a delicious retro TV and an NES console Super Mario Bros.? Yes, which costs over £ 200. Yes, the one none of us can actually do allow yourself. Well, it seems that some entrepreneurial companies have been responsible for cloning the set for a much cheaper price, with … varying levels of success.
As Takashi S. Omoto points out in his tweet, the sets are “charming, though cheeky,” and one of the sets even includes additional “cartridges” that “play” different games, ranging from Duck Hunt to the famous Bowser fight of Super Mario Bros.
However, a fair warning: they probably won’t work with the LEGO Super Mario figurine, as the actual deal does. Plus, Nintendo will probably find you and tell you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
