The count of Covid vaccine doses administered in the United States rose 1.25 million on Monday, a record daily set amid what has been a slow release of shots.
Bloomberg counts vaccine doses administered in the U.S. and around the world, collecting data from state vaccine reports and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Because CDC and some states do not report on the weekend, Monday’s bill includes recovery from previous days.

Since the United States began administering vaccines on Dec. 14, 9.27 million doses have been given and at least 379,862 people have received their second vaccines. Early vaccination efforts have focused on health workers, but complaints about the slow pace have led some governors to run programs to expand them to more groups.
