Memorial Healthcare now offers the Modern, Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine in certain locations

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – The Memorial Healthcare System announced Wednesday that it has received its first batch of Modern COVID-19 vaccine and is currently scheduling appointments for medical professionals and people 65 and older.

The healthcare system still offers the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine, until supplies run out.

Vaccines will only be available by appointment.

There are two options for registering for appointments: visit https://mychart.mhs.net. A section entitled “Appointments” is scheduled on your chart to make an appointment. Choose a date, time and location that suits you.

Those who meet the criteria for making an appointment can also call the centralized scheduling of the health system by calling 954-276-4340 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The call center is closed on weekends. Keep in mind that callers may experience longer than normal waiting times.

The following are the vaccination sites and times currently open for appointments:

  • Memorial Specialty Pharmacy, 9581 Premier Parkway, Miramar.
  • Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Closed on Sundays.
  • Memorial Regional Hospital Conference Center, 3501 Johnson Street, Hollywood.
  • Hours: Monday, noon to 7:30 p.m .; Tuesday to Friday, from 9 am to 4.30 pm. Closed on weekends.

What to expect at vaccination sites?

  • Vaccines will only be provided by appointment, until stocks run out.
  • Bring a license or photo ID issued by the state to register on the site. Healthcare workers must prove their accreditation.
  • To maintain social distancing, peers will be asked without an appointment to stay out.
  • Wear a shirt or t-shirt with the arm accessible.
  • Children are not allowed on site. There is no babysitting service.
